2023-2024 Scholarship Applications will open on April 6, 2023 and close on June 6, 2023 at 11:59pm

Fresno Housing and the Fresno Housing Education Corps administers three educational scholarships:

• Education Advancement Scholarship
• High School Equivalency (GED) Program Support
• HAW56

These scholarship programs are designated to support the efforts of Fresno Housing residents working to attain higher education or participate in workforce training programs. The scholarship awards will be offered in 2 increments – The fall and spring semesters of the academic year.

Applicants must submit a completed Education Advancement Scholarship Program application online here, along with all items listed here including a personal written statement, letter of recommendation or support, and unofficial transcripts. All attachments must be completed for the application to be considered for award.

Recipient Profile: Rocio Chavez

Rocio Chavez, a new graduate from Fresno State has recently embarked on a career as a teacher and is working towards her own financial independence. As a student with limited income, Chavez says that the Education Advancement Scholarship from Fresno Housing made it possible for her to pursue her education in liberal studies and land her dream job as a second-grade teacher.
