The purpose of the inspection is to ensure that the residence is in a decent, safe, and sanitary condition.
The tenant will be notified in writing at a minimum of 24-hours prior to the inspection.
On the day of the inspection, office and/or maintenance staff will examine the unit and note any defects and housekeeping issues.
Following the inspection, site maintenance staff will visit the residence to make any needed repairs.
It is not necessary for the tenant to be present during the inspection.
Throughout the year, Fresno Housing may have to reinspect a tenant’s unit as part of HUD’s annual review of Fresno Housing’s operations. As with regular inspections, the tenant will be notified at least two days prior to inspection.
